Everything she knew was a lie.

Some say ignorance is bliss and Rin Maerillian could not agree more.  After living for four hundred years, she was certain that nothing would surprise her.  Until a shattering secret throws her entire life into turmoil on the day of her coming-of-age ceremony.  Crushed by the devastating news, she flees from the only home she has ever known, triggering a series of events that culminates in the opening of an ancient portal and her sudden disappearance.

Kaedin Yaesumi, a silver dragon magically bound to Rin, has searched for her for nearly two decades before he ventures to an unfamiliar world.  In his heart, he knows she is there; he can sense her.  But Kaedin begins to doubt his ability to track his bonded while in elven form.  His senses tell him Rin is somewhere on Earth—a strange place where unknown dangers lurk everywhere he turns—but no matter how hard he tries, she is still lost to him.

Rin’s friends and bonded continue their desperate voyage in search of answers.  A journey where uncertainty hangs over their every move like a shadow, and they discover more questions than answers, leaving them wondering—who is the true enemy?

Can Kaedin find Rin and bring her home before it is too late?  Or will war threaten not only their world, but Earth as well?

    A Fantastic Getaway

just finished Book 1, Whispers of Time, and am looking forward to jumping into the even longer Book 2, Knowledge of Time! It has been so refreshing to be able to enjoy again this type of fantasy genre. As a single mom, back in school, and trying to balance out so much in our lives, this book was a fun getaway at the end of the day. I found so much detail as I journeyed through the book, feeling as if I could actually see and vividly imagine every scene, thought, and movement. With such detail, which increased with every page, it often read like a manuscript for a play or movie! Rin is a tough female constantly getting beat up, facing physical and mental challenges, not unlike so many of us have endured. Hoping to rescue Earth from other-worldly dimensional enemies, Im now heading with her into another realm ;) (Amazon Review: Previous Edition (Whispers of Time)).

An adventure in a different world.

f you like stories about young people in way over their heads and adventure in alien worlds you will probably like this book. Three young humans get mixed up with much older elves and dragons and get mixed up in a war they aren't prepared for. There's plenty of description in this book so you won't be left wondering what something looks like! It's a Tolkien-esque adventure with some real world humans thrown in the mix to stir things up.

I would have preferred to see the story tightened up because in places it delt bogged down to me but I'm also a reader who likes more left yo the imagination.

I did like the concept! Worth giving it a read if you thing it sounds interesting! (Amazon Review: Previous Edition (Whispers of Time)).

    Magic and Dragons

The world building is excellent. Rin is an elven princess. She sees a vision that destroys her whole world view then is kidnapped. Twenty years later she wakes up on Earth sharing the body with a human and no idea what has happened. Events take a wild turn as they end up back in the elven realm.

This was a fun book to read. My biggest issue is Rin and Wren sound the same in my head. And Paige and Sara are hard to like as characters. Paige is selfhish and immature and Sara's shyness drove me nuts. But that means the author did a good job writing their characters! (Amazon Review: Previous Edition (Whispers of Time)).

    Ashley Forest - Fantasy Fan

A great start to a fast-moving, action-packed sci fi fantasy. I particularly enjoyed the heroic characters, both female and male, and the intertwining of their strengths, weaknesses, and emotional proclivities. The basic theme sparks the reader to reflect upon the current state of our world and its "characters," and the probability of earth's survival within a cosmos of beings from other worlds. This work could use additional proofing and editing to eliminate some of the distractions and redundancies. (Amazon Review: Previous Edition (Whispers of Time)).

High fantasy with a modern spin.

Just when I thought this book was going to be about an elven princess named Rin, I reached the second chapter and got transported to Japan, where a girl named Sara sees a mysterious vision in the middle of a festival. From there, worlds clash and merge, making this a fun, unique fantasy novel. As someone who (often) believes in elves, fairies, and mermaids, this book was a treat. (Amazon Review: Previous Edition (Whispers of Time)).
